Joseph Carr, Chief Executive Officer

Joseph Carr Joseph Carr recently served as the chief executive officer for QD Vision, Inc., an MIT spinout developing quantum dot display technologies. Formerly, he was president and chief executive officer of OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, Inc., vice president of OSRAM Opto Semiconductors, GmbH and general manager for the emerging Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) Display business unit. Prior to his tenure at OSRAM, Carr served as General Manager of Dow Chemical Company’s Electronic Materials business. Carr served on the boards of directors of Cambridge Display Technology, a public company (NASDAC: OLED) until its acquisition by Sumitomo Chemical, and venture backed QD Vision, Inc. and Plextronics, Inc.

Helena Yee, Chief Financial Officer

 Helena Yee Helena Yee has provided financial expertise to both publicly traded and private equity-backed companies for over 15 years. Prior to joining Semprius, Ms. Yee served in a finance leadership role at a global higher education company, and has previously held senior-level finance positions in the publishing, manufacturing and tech industries. Ms. Yee holds a BA from Vassar College and an MBA (Finance) from the University of Washington.

Scott Burroughs, Vice President of Technology

Scott Burroughs Scott Burroughs has 30 years of commercial experience in III-V compound semiconductors and optics. Prior to Semprius, he served as vice president of Technology at Optovia, and vice president of Engineering at Santur Corporation. Burroughs also served as vice president of Operations at CoreTek, a successful tunable laser start-up that was acquired by Nortel. He started his career at AT&T Bell Laboratories where he helped to develop and manufacture GaAs semiconductor lasers for the world’s first commercial fiber optic communication system.

Russ Kanjorski, Vice President of Business Development

Russ Kanjorski Russ Kanjorski brings 20 years of experience from multiple industries through his solar, strategy consulting, finance and legal background. Most recently, he served as vice president of Marketing at Abound Solar. During this time, Abound Solar grew from a 20 person startup into a leading thin-film PV manufacturer serving customers in Europe, North America and India. Kanjorski previously held leadership roles at the Boston Consulting Group, Covington & Burling and the Federal Home Loan Bank of Pittsburgh, as well as founding an advanced materials company serving the semiconductor industry.
